Our Ajax Dance Directors

Miss Rhea ccpacMiss Rhea

Miss Rhea is a proud and dedicated dance educator that has performed in the arts industry since the age of 4. She is a graduate of York University with a Bachelors of Fine Arts (Honours) in Dance, specializing in Pedagogy and Movement Analysis.

 Rhea has trained extensively over two decades in the following dance disciplines; Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Contemporary, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Ballroom, Hip Hop, and Afro-Caribbean dance. She trained and worked closely with dance artists and educators from all over Canada and the United States, some of which include John Ottman (National Ballet of Canada), Patrick Parson (Ballet Creole), Helen Jones (Toronto Dance Theatre), and Donna Krasnow (York University and The Limón Institute NYC).

Rhea holds memberships and certifications with the Canadian Dance Teachers Association, Associated Dance Arts for Professional Teachers,  Royal Academy of Dancing RTS, Acrobatic Arts, High Five Quality at Play: Healthy Child Development, PBT as well as, the Professional Adjudicators Alliance.  Additionally, Rhea is an Ontario Certified Teacher and has spent a large part of her career teaching dance in Performing Arts schools across Toronto and the Durham Regions, and in the Caribbean.

Rhea also takes joy in writing and research. She has been a featured contributor to Toronto's number one dance magazine, The Dance Current. As a result, she has been flown across the United States to speak at conferences, one of which includes the International Association of Blacks in Dance Conference which takes place in Los Angeles.

Rhea's wish is to spread her joy and passion for the performing arts to whomever she encounters along the way. 

Miss Rhenice ccpacMiss Rhenice

Rhenice is an award-winning choreographer and dancer. She has been dancing since the young age of 2 and has trained with many industry professionals in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Contemporary and Hip hop.

Rhenice attended Cardinal Carter Academy of the Arts for dance, leading the Hip-Hop crew. While attending the University of Toronto for Culture, Communications and Information Technology, she was one of the captains and led the University of Toronto, Mississauga Campus dance team. She has performed with many accredited performing artists such as Kardinal official, Nelly Furtado, Jennifer Hudson, and Maroon 5. Her upbeat personality, attention to detail, and an incredible gift for choreography have led her to win countless choreography awards. 

She is also an accredited designer and manages Creative Connexions in house costume designs and alterations as well as her own costume design line IAMMAS.
